Can you afford More Taxes?
New 2008 Budget
- Highest spending and taxes in the history of Kentucky.
- Requires $9,500,000,000.00 TAX dollars annually.
- Up by 34% from the 2002 budget (has your income increased by 34%).
- Includes a raise for Executive branch.
Higher Taxes
- The Governor announced that he will raise taxes if the economy gets worse to fund the new budget.
- Fuel tax has been increased, we are currently paying between .65 to .80 per gallon on gas and diesel.
Cuts to Education
- The new budget cuts education, (education is our Children's future)
- Local School Boards will probably raise local school TAXES to fund the school budget.
Protection For The Unborn Children
- Senate Bill 40 (requiring ultra sound and consultation) was held in the house this year.
Higher Business TAXES drive jobs out of Kentucky
- 64,000 jobs have been lost since June of 2007. 40,000 since the new Governor was elected.
- Business taxes, have gone from 24th in the nation to 11th highest business taxes in just a few years.
- Kentucky's unemployment tax and work comp rates are 3rd and 4th highest in the nation.

- 15 years as a Boy Scout Leader.
- 4 years Republican Executive Committee.

- Stronger Education Program and Budget.
- Stand up for the rights of Unborn Children!
This can all be done without Casinos!
